LOS ANGELES — From the red carpet to the awards show stage, Wicked Pictures took the 2015 XBIZ Awards Show by storm Thursday night at the posh JW Marriott LA Live ballroom in Los Angeles.
Hosted by industry sensation James Deen, the evening stayed true to XBIZ’s goal of “honoring the influential companies and performers who play an essential role in the growth and popularity of adult entertainment around the globe.”
The evening saw the company's hit Axel Braun franchise Wicked Fairy Tales earning two major accolades, beginning with Parody Release of the Year - Drama for the beguiling fantasy "Cinderella XXX: An Axel Braun Parody." The line's debut release, "Snow White XXX: An Axel Braun Parody," soon followed suit, earning a Best Actress - Parody Release trophy for its luminous star, Wicked Girl jessica drake.
In addition to her prestigious acting accolade, drake also received the magazine's coveted Specialty Release of the Year award for "jessica drake’s Guide to Wicked Sex: Plus Size."
Co-directed by BBW performer and size acceptance advocate, Kelly Shibari, "Plus Size" is the second release in the franchise to earn this coveted award in less than four years—"jessica drake's Guide to Wicked Sex: Anal" earned Specialty Release honors in 2012.
European production powerhouse Marc Dorcel, whose stylish work has been distributed in the United States by Wicked for more than 16 years, received several of the night’s top international awards, including European Studio of the Year, European Feature Release of the Year (for "Russian Institute: Lesson 19: Holidays at My Parents") and European Director of the Year (Herve Bodilis).
