“As most insiders already know, Arrow Productions is the Disney of the porn industry with our catalog of hits and industry icons,” Arrow’s Director of Production Robert Interlandi said. “Everyone at Arrow is really excited to land this licensing deal. We already love working with [Kaos Market], and we think this is going to be a beautiful relationship. We can’t wait to get our products in new markets.”
Under the terms of the deal, Arrow has licensed more than 700 of its classic titles to Kaos Market, which operates as an international wholesaler to head shops, Spencer’s Gifts and other retail outlets. Interlandi told XBIZ that Kaos will license around 200 individual products.
Arrow Productions also has licensing deals with Bang-On for T-shirts and with Charades Costume Co. to make adult costumes.
Interlandi said the licensing arena is virtually untapped by the adult industry, but that Arrow is in a unique position to capitalize because many of its titles are now ingrained as part of American culture.
“Many of our movies are household names by now,” Interlandi told XBIZ. “I can see kids wearing a ‘Deep Throat’ or ‘Italian Stallion’ T-shirt to school to piss their principals off so I think we can attract a whole new group of fans. Our movies are totally brandable. Vintage and retro clothes are back. Even my grandmother knows about ‘Deep Throat.’ That’s how powerful and recognizable our movies are.”
Arrow will debut around 20 T-shirts at the Adult Entertainment Expo Jan. 11-14, in Las Vegas.
