EasyXSites.com Buys SmutNode.com User Base

CYBERSPACE — EasyXSites.com today announced the purchase of the SmutNode.com user base.

The company said the seller has already notified existing accounts of the transaction to provide ample time for each webmaster to move their sites over to the EasyXSites.com platform. Due to differences in database structure the operators said it is impossible to mass-move the accounts, so webmasters are asked to complete their moves this week.

“We were interested in buying SmutNode a while back but were unable to agree on a fair price at that time," EasyXSite's Markul said. “Then they approached us and suggested we buy out their database along with their domain name for a more competitive price. The deal makes a lot of sense for our brand and for the many new site owners who will be migrating over to our platform because we are able to provide several new services along with the top tier support real webmasters want.”

According to the company, SmutNode was a beta product that the owner decided to sell for personal reasons with a seven day deadline for all account moves before their servers go offline. To aid in the abrupt period of transition, EasyXSites said it will have additional support staff available.

“We do recognize this may not be the most convenient way to move sites but the alternative was having the whole SmutNode system go dark immediately,” Markul added. “We managed to negotiate a seven day grace period for moves to take place and we are here to assist anyone making the move with the powerful new tools you can now use to upgrade your domains. A week of work will yield excellent ROI for many if not all of the former SmutNode user accounts.”
