qPeeps Reaches 18K Milestone

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Both of AEBN's social networking sites have reached distinct membership milestones in a one-week span. Five days after xPeeps hit 300,000 registered members, its sister site aimed at the gay community, qPeeps eclipsed 18,000 members.

“With the gay adult industry firmly behind us, qPeeps has continued to show a solid feeling of community online," said Suzann Knudsen of AEBN’s marketing department. “Every new face is a friend.”

Launched in May and powered by video-on-demand provider AEBN, the uncensored qPeeps acts as a free networking community for adult webmasters, surfers, content providers, directors, actors, fans and friends — specifically targeted to fans of gay adult entertainment.

Both xPeeps and qPeeps are similar in that a user can create a profile, upload pictures, blog, start a group or sub-community or post a calendar, so long as it is legal and consensual, the company said.

qPeeps also engages in community building activities by appearing at various gay pride and webmaster events. qPeeps marketing representatives attended the 36th Annual San Francisco LGBT Pride Parade and Celebration in June and the 1st Gay Phoenix Forum held in October.

To capitalize on its growing online community, qPeeps sells various branded items ranging from sweatshirts and boxers to dog T-shirts, coffee mugs and clocks.
