2014 NightMoves Awards Nominees Announced

TAMPA, Fla. — The NightMoves Awards organizers have announced the nominees for the 22nd annual Awards Show, held in Tampa, Fla., on Sunday, Oct. 12.

“Each year, we spend weeks and weeks researching performers, movies, and companies which deserve recognition,” said Paul Allen, publisher and founder of NightMoves Magazine. “Each year, we also add categories as needed; this year, we have added a ‘Best Fetish / Specialty Release’ category, as this type of film is becoming more and more popular. We have also restructured our ‘Best Director’ category to encompass three separate areas: Best Director (Feature), Best Director (Non-Feature) and Best Director (Parody).

"We also divided our ‘Best Feature Dancer’ category into two separate awards: ‘Best Feature Showgirl’ and ‘Best Adult Film Star Feature Dancer.’ With the re-emergence of feature acts performing across the country, we felt this category needed an upgrade.”

The NightMoves Awards started in 1993. To be considered eligible, a movie has to have been released between June 15, 2013 and June 14, 2014. Individual awards are also based on this same time frame except for those in the New Starlet category, whose performances between June 15, 2012 and June 14, 2014 qualify.

Fans and industry members can log their votes for their favorite performers, directors, films, and feature dance performances here. The deadline for votes is 11:59 p.m, Sunday, Sept. 15. There is only vote allowed per IP address.

In addition to the Fan Awards, the show presents Editor’s Choice awards, based on reviews of DVDs in which nominated performers have appeared.

The NightMoves Awards are more than a one-night awards show; it is part of a weekend that includes "Star Caravan" events at local nightclubs and multiple radio appearances. In addition, fans will be able to meet and interact with performers at the NightMoves Fan Fest, where stars sign autographs and take photos.
