The service lets webmasters “sidestep” the risks associated with large-scale aggregated payment accounts, the company said.
The spokesman said AMS decided to launch mVERIFY Direct after the demise of payment processor Paymonde.
XBIZ confirmed that Paymonde went out of business last week after its bank in the Philippines lost acquiring rights to process Mastercard transactions.
“With a merchant account, at the core of the new mVERIFY Direct service, every webmaster has the security of having their own account,” a spokesman said. “Problems such as excessive chargebacks affecting one webmaster are self-contained. All other webmasters remain unaffected.”
mVERIFY Direct also will help webmasters save money because it allows them to eliminate the administrative tasks associated with aggregated payment processors, AMS said.
“mVERIFY Direct is a significant evolution of AMS’s, which serves adult webmasters all over the world,” the spokesman said. “With a range of payment channels, access to an international marketplace, fast setup, better rates, rock solid security and anti-fraud measures behind it, the new Direct service promises to make adult billing a much safer option.”
