Etology and FriendFinder Networks Ink Exclusive Ad Deal

LOS ANGELES — Online advertising network Etology has announced an exclusive deal with casual dating powerhouse FriendFinder Networks, to provide ad placement services within FFN’s members-only area.

FriendFinder Networks is a leading social networking and technology company that operates several of the most heavily trafficked websites in the world, providing its customers with a wide variety of online products and services that appeal to members of diverse cultures and interest groups, allowing users to interact with each other while enjoying its sites’ content. This content includes online personals, live and recorded videos, online chat rooms, instant messaging, photo and video sharing, blogs, message boards, e-mail exchanges and more.

FFN also produces and distributes original pictorial and video content, licenses the globally recognized Penthouse brand to a variety of consumer product companies and entertainment venues, and publishes branded men’s lifestyle magazines.

With a goal of creating a centralized, convenient marketplace for both advertisers and publishers alike, Etology is a product of veteran online marketers, which serves a reported billion daily impressions and offers a substantial inventory of mobile and tube site traffic.

Originally founded in 2005, Etology was short-lived, closing in 2011, with the Etology.com domain name acquired by its current owner in a recent domain auction at the New Orleans Internext Expo in 2014, after which it received a new lease on life…

“We understand that time is money, and many of today’s online marketers, whether they are advertisers or publishers, simply do not have the time and/or resources to maintain real-time bids to access large volumes of high-quality traffic, which is where we come in,” Etology owner Bako Kaye says. “We make it our mission to make you money — whether you are looking to optimize your traffic, or buy traffic — we are sure to have solutions to meet your needs in today’s rapidly changing market.”

The deal makes Etology the exclusive provider of managed advertising to FFN’s 300 million members via its sites members’ areas. FFN members’ areas contain content covering numerous niches and cater to straight, gay and transgender audiences — each of which is targetable through Etology.

“This exclusive traffic deal relies on Etology to broker, monetize and optimize ad campaigns within FFN members’ areas,” Bako told XBIZ, explaining that the deal involves IAB-standard 160x600 skyscraper ads, delivered without using iframes, adding, “We offer personalized services with an attention to detail that helps everyone to make more money.”
