LONDON — CJ Everard, who for years has captured the adult entertainment industry in his photographic works, has launched a kickstarter project that will enable him to publish the first edition of "US," which takes a visual look at the business of adult entertainment in Porn Valley.
The London-based photographer, who collaborated with book designer Rob van Hoesel and writer Daniel Blight, told XBIZ that the project explores "the space where guilt and normality meet in our society."
The book, available to kickstarter supporters only, is titled 'US,' "as in you, me and everyone," Everard said.
Everard traveled across the Los Angeles area, shooting the industry's top executives, producers and performers.
Everard said that he's previewed the book in the art and photo book community, and the consensus is that it is "an innovative and brave project, great narrative and photographs, and the book is an object of beauty."
"I do believe it is a book that anyone who works in the industry, anyone who has an interest in the industry, should own," Everard said. "I have always had the opinion that people in the industry should be proud of that fact. I have tried to build a narrative to present this in the book."
