Red Apple Media Revamps ChaosMen.com With New Offerings

SAN DIEGO — Red Apple Media has announced the revamp of gay website ChaosMen.com.

Part of a long-term strategy, the development now gives users a personalized experience with responsive design, adaptive bit rate streaming capabilities, and options to rate and queue videos for future viewing.

Red Apple said the new offering streams videos via adaptive bit rate, eliminating buffering and delays and giving members instant access to the content they crave. Using responsive design, the layout automatically adapts to fit mobile and personal devices and allows members to easily find and view the content they want, save favorites, queue videos for later viewing, and many other new features inspired by mainstream video viewing sites.

“We’ve been in business for more than 15 years and our old site was a bit outdated, so it was time to take advantage of the incredible new technologies available in order to keep ChaosMen.com one of the greatest and preeminent gay content sites on the Internet,” ChaosMen.com owner Bryan Ockert said.

He added, “I’ve personally worked with the Red Apple Media team for years and we have grown alongside each other, so it was only natural to enlist their expertise to revamp my online business using new media delivery options and design technologies that the Red Apple Media team specializes in.”

The site has also integrated a pay per download (PPD) system to allow fast HD downloads to members and non-members alike, an advancement that will soon be supplemented by the addition of a comprehensive retail component. The company said that the store would include more than 15,000 adult toys and novelties to complement its premium DVDs, books and gifts with hourly inventory updates.

“We work with a wide variety of online businesses from all corners of the Internet, but we also have a special understanding of the unique e-commerce, managed hosting and video streaming needs of adult content providers,” said Steven Daris, Red Apple Media CEO and co-founder. “We started working with Bryan Ockert back when his website was a simple photo-only blog and helped the company evolve as video content quickly took over the Internet. In an effort to reduce piracy and manage video streaming for an optimal user experience, ChaosMen.com said it implemented Red Apple's Media Commander control panel, which allows the team to publish true streaming video and monitor bandwidth and downloads in real time. This, matched with a custom managed hosting program and the new Pirate ID digital fingerprinting software, the site is positioned to maintain peak performance as its content library and membership base expands.

With the tech side being handled by Red Apple, the ChaosMen team noted that it will be able to focus on the creative side and allow owner Ockert to develop more high-end content within its niche.
