Video: Nikki Benz Says She'll Run for Mayor of Toronto

TORONTO — Adult performer Nikki Benz announced her candidacy for mayor of Toronto yesterday.

In a Brazzers-branded video disseminated on YouTube, Benz said that she's a native of Toronto, and that the city's "future is very important to me." The longtime porn star noted that she would "deliver" in office.

"Toronto needs someone who understands and exudes transparency," said Benz, taking a porn-star swipe at embattled Toronto Mayor Rob Ford. "I have high concerns about our city's management. You can search my positions, but only if you're over 18."

In a tweet yesterday, Benz said that she wished the best of luck on Ford's road to recovery.

Ford's decision to take a leave of absence this week followed months of denials that he had a substance abuse problem and about a year after media reports surfaced that he appeared in a video smoking crack cocaine.

Benz, who resides in Los Angeles, broke into the biz in 2003, was nominated for XBIZ Awards as Crossover Star of the Year in both 2013 and 2014. In 2011, she was tapped as Penthouse Pet of the Year.

Benz's Brazzers-branded video is available here.
