Inaugural Content Producers’ Retreat Slated

NEW YORK — Dominic Ford, producer of DominicFord.com, announced today the dates for a new annual event called the Content Producers’ Retreat.

The retreat, to be held the weekend of June 27th on Fire Island in Long Island, New York, is expected to bring together some of the industry’s leading players.

“The idea of the retreat is simple: there is a group of independent gay studios that wants to meet and share ideas," Ford said. "While we do get together at the various adult conferences during the year, our independent meetings with vendors often prevent us from spending as much time together as we’d like.

"The Content Producers’ Retreat is the solution for that. It is an opportunity for gay content producers to gather in a very low-key and fun environment, with no other purpose than to share ideas, foster relationships, and help move this industry forward.”

For its inaugural year, the events will take place in and around Fire Island Pines, and most participants will be staying in Ford's summer house there.

Studio owners who already have houses on Fire Island will also be attending the retreat. In the case of overflow, Ford has secured special rates at the local hotels.

“We have many top studios, each in non-competitive niches, participating so far, with room for only one or two more studios to join,” Ford said.

Some of the studios that will be taking part in the first retreat include The Maverick Men, Jake Cruise, Helix Studios and of course Dominic Ford.

Fire Island provides the perfect backdrop for studio heads to rest, relax and network in a very low-key, peaceful setting. The retreat is slated for three days, but many participants are staying a full seven days to enjoy the gay island.

Attendees will be having conversations around the pool, in the hot tub, or at the beach. The retreat’s schedule will be kept to a minimum to allow organic meetings to happen, and to keep the atmosphere relaxed.
