Penthouse Launches E.U. Online Retail Site

CHATSWORTH, Calif. – General Media Communications, Inc., the owner of the Penthouse trademarks, announced today the launch of its second online retail store, PenthouseStore.eu

Licensed to German-based distributor, a2z Services, the online store features Penthouse licensed merchandise including FSK 16 DVDs, adult toys and novelties, t-shirts, hats, bags, calendars and golf accessories. The site also offers a selection of third party vendor items to complement the brand.

PenthouseStore.eu carries on the same message, “Unlock the Lifestyle,” as its sister site in the U.S. and features easy navigation, large image viewing and zoom, product videos and customer reviews. The company said additional features will be introduced over the next few months, including a loyalty program for frequent shoppers and an internal network for socializing and sharing recent purchases.

The site’s launch coincides with Penthouse Magazine’s 45th anniversary, which will be commemorated with special anniversary items and limited edition collectable pieces available for purchase throughout 2014.

“The Penthouse licensing program has seen tremendous growth in Europe over the last few years and we felt it was the perfect time to offer our European fans a local, one-stop shop to buy branded merchandise,” says Amanda Byrd, global director of licensing for Penthouse.

PenthouseStore.eu will launch in the German and English language and eventually be translated and available in Dutch, Portuguese, French and Italian, the company says.

Helen Clyne, managing director for a2z Services, says, “a2z Services enjoys working with well-known, powerful brands and we are excited to add Penthouse to our list of partners. To help distinguish us from other retail websites, PenthouseStore.eu features curated collections of items for use during special intimate events such as Sex in the Shower and Roleplay which can be found in the (S)experience category. Penthouse has 45 years of experience in erotica and we’ve put this knowledge to work for the customer with these custom collections. As our logo states – Trust us, we know what you want!”
