MyGirlFund, Sssh.com Sponsor 'Free Your Face' Challenge

LOS ANGELES — MyGirlFund.com, an online adult social network, and Sssh.com, an erotic website for women, are teaming up to sponsor a Free Your Face challenge that the companies say "celebrates the real beauty of women everywhere." The $1,000 photo contest empowers women to free their faces of makeup and inspire each other by letting their natural beauty shine through, the companies said.

"We host a Free Your Face event annually for female members of our community and it's always a huge hit," said Stefan Patrick of MyGirlFund. "There's nothing more intimate than baring your 'true self' to the world, and nothing more sexy than having the confidence to do so. We're excited to collaborate with Sssh.com and open the contest up to everyone so that the Free Your Face message of empowerment will reach an even wider audience. It's an inspiring, positive meme that we think resonates with Valentine's Day."

MyGirlFund and Sssh.com invite women over the age of 18 to submit two photos of themselves, one with and one without makeup. The photo pairs will be displayed side-by-side on the Free Your Face tumblr and instagram. Winning submissions will share a $1,000 prize pool.

"Free Your Face represents the ethos of Sssh.com because it encourages women to be comfortable with and confident about themselves," said Angie Rowntree, founder of Sssh.com. "In an age when it has become the norm to use tinted powders to disguise our physical selves and technology to enhance our digital selves, it's refreshing to see real women sharing their true faces with the world."

Free Your Face entries will be accepted through Tuesday, Feb. 25. Winners will be announced the following Monday, March 3. Complete contest details can be found here.

"We expect to receive many stunning submissions," MyGirlFund's Patrick added. "And everyone is encouraged to participate in a #FreeYourFaceFriday event on Valentine's Day February 14th by not wearing any makeup all or part of that day in solidarity with the contestants. When you free your face, you are gorgeous!"
