2014 XBIZ Research Report Is Released

LOS ANGELES — Adult industry news media organization XBIZ has released its 2014 XBIZ Research Report, which surveys qualified industry stakeholders on the future of 4K Ultra HD entertainment, U.K.'s porn opt-in program, Google Glass and 3D printing.

The report, available today, also offers the attitudes, opinions and commentary from top adult industry figures, including Peter Acworth, Christian Mann, Jerry Barnett, Allison Vivas, Vince Charlton, Myles Jackman, Lawrence Walters, Jan McEwen, Tom Nardone, Susan Colvin and Ethan Imboden, among others, over where they stand on the topics.

XBIZ polled qualified stakeholders through its social network XBIZ.net to gauge their views. XBIZ.net’s membership base includes 10,000 qualified users — among them adult website operators, content producers and licensors, product distributors, models and performers, retailers, payment processors, software and technology providers, industry media and associations, providers of legal, marketing and consulting services, traffic vendors and ad networks, and providers of other industry-related products and services.

XBIZ further reached out to get specific attitudes and opinions from some of the business' top industry decision-makers. The results are included in the report.

"The industry is opening its arms to new technologies like Google Glass that will deliver content in new and interactive ways, and 4K Ultra HD, which promises an even-clearer, bird's-eye view for porn fans," said Don Parret, XBIZ's executive editorial director. "We believe these surveys map out the direction businesses are headed."

“The adult industry has a penchant for being on the forefront of new technology and these emerging platforms are no exception,” said Dan Miller, executive managing editor of XBIZ. “We think these insights provide a definitive picture of where our business is on these topics and more importantly, where it’s going next.”
