LOS ANGELES — One of the most anticipated seminars of the XBIZ 360 Adult Film Conference will tackle the industry’s ongoing condom conundrum.
Titled “Porn and Condoms: The Great Debate,” a diverse panel of adult entertainment luminaries will meet from 11 to 11:50 a.m. on Jan. 23 in the Great Room at the W Hollywood Hotel to discuss all angles of what has arguably become the most polarizing issue facing the industry today.
The speakers confirmed include Wicked Pictures contract star Jessica Drake, industry activist and veteran adult performer, Nina Hartley, Evil Angel General Manager Christian Mann, directors Will Ryder and Dan Leal, and Howard Levine, president of sales for Exile Distribution. Kelly Holland, the managing director of Penthouse, will moderate the panel.
“The debate over condoms, performer safety and the First Amendment is shaping our industry in ways that are deeper and more profound than anything in our recent history,” Holland said. “We’ve been talking about it and we’ll keep talking about it.”
Ryder added, "This is akin to Roe versus Wade or Frazier versus Ali, where there are two passionate sides each with their own valid reasons to support their position. This will be a very lively and interesting panel and I'm looking forward to it."
Indeed, the issue has not only created ongoing political controversy, but it has also divided the production community. XBIZ examined the matter with an in-depth report in October.

The “Porn and Condoms” panel is part of a full lineup of sessions on Day 1 of the two-day XBIZ 360 Adult Film Conference at the W Hollywood.
Being held concurrently held with the Digital Media Conference on Jan. 23-24, the XBIZ 360 Adult Film Conference explores every major area of the rapidly evolving business of adult movie creation and distribution.
