Playboy Partners With Japanese Label Hysteric Glamour

LOS ANGELES — In celebration of its 60th anniversary, Playboy Enterprises has announced a partnership with Hysteric Glamour for a 2013 winter collection that will bring Playboy inspired apparel to the Japanese market.

The company said that by mixing Hysteric Glamour’s urban attitude with Playboy’s signature brand, the collaboration, including stylings by Tsuyoshi Noguchi, will feature vintage photographs of Playboy Bunnies and brand iconography.

Now available as in Hysteric Glamour stores and department stores across Japan, the collection will feature a full line of luxury street wear, including men’s and women’s t-shirts, hats, shorts, sweatshirts, cardigans and jackets, and women’s pants, skirts and shoes.

The collection is also available on Hysteric Glamour’s online store and will be available on the U.S. site in December. The styles range in price from $100-1000.

The collection was first revealed at a special press preview party on Oct.18 at Hysteric Glamour Aoyoma in Tokyo, concurrent to Tokyo Fashion Week, with Playboy Bunnies in attendance.

Playboy said the deal extends the brand’s limited edition collections to wide ranging global licensing partnerships. The collaboration with Hysteric Glamour features the brand seamlessly through a marriage of industrial and pop-driven designs and a distinctive street wear vibe.

Items from the collection can be found at Hysteric Glamour store locations in Japan, including Aoyama, Shibuya, Nagoya, Osaka, Sapporo, Sendai, Kyoto, Fukuoka, Roppongi Hills, LAZONA Kawasaki, LUCUA Osaka, AMU PLAZA Hakata and Meitetsu Department Store, in addition to the online shop that will be live in the U.S. in December.
