Doc Johnson Appoints Industry Vet Scott Watkins as VP of Sales

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Doc Johnson has appointed industry vet Scott Watkins as vice president of sales.

Watkins joins the Doc Johnson team after nearly a decade in the adult industry.

Doc Johnson COO Chad Braverman said, “Scott brings a powerful combination of experience, skill, and drive to the table. We created this position in order to bring him aboard and facilitate the best use of his considerable talents. Together, we will build a greater focus on identifying and creating strategic opportunities for our customers, as well as intensifying our push into overseas markets. We’re all very excited to have Scott on our team.”

Watkins previously held the position of vice president of sales at Trigg Laboratories, a market leader in the personal lubricant category. Previous positions include director of sales and marketing at Ronco Inventions, a well-known infomercial company; director of business development at Worldlink Media, a business-to-business solution for direct response and infomercial clientele where he founded an integrated media division; and in his early career, as an account executive at Excite@Home (imall.com), a one-time provider of web hosting, site creation, and e-commerce tools.

On his appointment, Watkins said, “I am truly honored to be welcomed as a member of the Doc Johnson family. I have always admired the organization and their nearly 40 years of consistent leadership. While my eight years at Trigg Laboratories was very fulfilling, the experience of working alongside industry veteran Michael Trigg primed me for the leadership responsibilities of my new position as vice president of sales at Doc Johnson.”

According to the company, Watkins will focus on Doc’s strategic growth.

“My plan is to work closely with the existing team of extraordinary sales and marketing executives to fully maximize existing revenue verticals, as well as finding new avenues for sales growth to further drive our success,” Watkins said. “I look forward to developing tools and strategies to insure and support objectives-focused customer service at every level.”
