Fla. Hustler Hollywood Remodeling Celebration Set for Tonight

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Hustler Hollywood’s Fort Lauderdale location has undergone a remodeling, and is hosting a V.I.P. event tonight, beginning at 8 p.m., in celebration.

Bobby Whitt, Hustler Hollywood director of retail expansion and development, says the upgrades include: refurbishing hardwood floors and built in hardwood fixtures — including a move to a warmer, more rich stain color; new carpet; new colors inside and out that reflect the current paint palate seen in recently remodeled stores; new sales fixtures throughout the store; 100 percent upgrade of interior lighting to more efficient and longer-lasting LED bulbs, as well as the upgrade of exterior neon and category signs.

“We hope to see the same enthusiasm and positive reaction from customers as we did in the previously remodeled stores,” Whitt told XBIZ. “With the exception of the pre-existing tile walkways in the front portion of the store which were still like new, the interior is updated and fresh in all respects. We're proud of it and excited for our customers to come see the rich, updated atmosphere.”

Remodeling took place after hours, allowing the store to operate during normal business hours.

“The inspiration was primarily necessity but we've also grown as a retailer and as a brand since the first store opened in 1998 so we want the stores to reflect that progress,” Whitt said. “The majority of the 'first generation' Hustler Hollywood stores were opened between '98 and 2005 — nearly a decade ago, so they were beginning to show the normal signs of wear and tear. After developing an updated interior color palate and fixture standards for stores opened 2011 to present we felt that as long as sales remained robust around the country, we wanted to go back and update the original look to match the current direction of the brand. Customers have done their part by keeping sales healthy, so now we're doing our part.”

Tonight’s VIP event starts at 8 p.m. and will feature a DJ, giveaways, complimentary appetizers and drinks, as well as raffles and games with prizes. The first 30 customers to arrive will receive a gift bag. Surprise adult industry guests also are slated to attend.

Hustler Hollywood’s Fort Lauderdale’s store is located at 1500 E. Sunrise Blvd.
