Mobile Payment App iCushy Expands Offering in Latin America

FRANKFURT Mobile payment app iCushy, owned by EPG Bill, has expanded its services in Latin American markets by offering payment via a virtual pre-paid AstroPay card.

According to the company, all iCushy merchants are now able to bill their mobile users in Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Uruguay and Chile via AstroPay cards, a popular alternative to credit cards in those regions.

“We are happy that with the recent addition of AstroPay card payment within iCushy in Latin American markets, we now offer an additional user-friendly and easy-to-integrate billing method for merchants looking to expand their mobile monetization funnel," said Christian Diegelmann, EPG Bill’s CEO.

“Not only that, the iCushy app offers multiple transactional and operational efficiencies difficult for merchants to achieve with other forms of mobile billing, but added value services such as payment with AstroPay card, will certainly enhance its monetization potential and popularity in the mass market."

He said iCushy represents a significant shift for merchants to conveniently and efficiently monetize mobile users regardless of the traffic source with lower transaction fees compared to carrier billing.
