Adam & Eve Surveys Consumers' Porn Viewing Habits

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. AdamAndEve.com has announced the results of its latest survey about consumers' viewing habits when it comes to adult movies.

The company asked more than 1,000 adults how they prefer watching adult movies—alone or with a partner. Adam & Eve said the answers may be surprising.

While most of the men polled (45 percent) said they prefer to view their X-rated material alone, 31 percent admitted they enjoy partaking in their erotica with a partner. The rest (23 percent) said they never view adult movies.

Of the women polled, 45 percent said they do not watch erotic movies, while 33 percent preferred to watch with a partner and 21 percent said they watch alone.

Dr. Kat Van Kirk, resident sexpert for AdamAndEve.com, remarked, “While it’s no surprise that most men watch adult movies alone, and most women do not watch adult movies, the large percentage who prefer to view erotic materials together is indicative of positive sexual communication. Many couples who watch erotica together are inspired to talk about their desires and feelings… and ultimately try new things together.”

“Adam & Eve goes to great measures to make sure its adult content represents a healthy image of sexuality,” said AdamAndEve.com Director of Marketing, Chad Davis. “Whether our customers prefer to order a DVD through our catalog or website, or watch Adam & Eve’s video-on-demand channel, they can rest assured the content is sex positive.”

The web-based survey, conducted by an independent, third-party survey company, of more than 1,000 American adults age 18 and up, was sponsored by Adam & Eve to study sexual preferences and practices.

"Sex Chat with Dr. Kat"  can be found on podcasts through iTunes or at her website. Her new book, “12 Minute Sex Solution: A Realistic Guide to Married Sex,” can be found on Amazon.com.
