Mansion Productions Unveils VIST

LOS ANGELES — Mansion Productions, makers of affiliate program management software, has debuted VIST, the company’s latest addition to its growing list of software offerings.

VIST is a complete content management tool with a full-featured backend for automation of online video store libraries. Written by the authors of MAS, VIST is fully customizable in how products are presented to the surfer. The program is intended to function as an all-in-one solution for production studios looking to upload a large product library and sell goods online.

According to Mansion Productions’ CEO Oystein Wright, the structure of VIST can be broken down into four categories:

  • Content Management and Site Setup — webmasters can customize how to feature long lists of video titles by choosing to display the title, short description, format-rich synopsis, front/back box cover, attach screenshots, photo galleries and promo trailers for each title in their library. Content can be categorized by niche, producer or custom keywords. All data entries are optimized for search engine purposes to help drive traffic to the store.

The CMS system allows webmasters to manage the cast list by creating entries for each model with a pack of promo content. This allows for the compatibility between the cast list for each movie and the movie list for each model.

Additionally, the software allows for the posting of news, polls, reviews, “Top Rated,” “Most Wanted” and “Recent Additions” sections.

  • 2257 Compliance — all the content entered through VIST’s content management system is compatible with Mansion’s 2257 module, which allows for the tagging of required 2257 info for each item.
  • Shopping Cart — VIST can completely integrate with a built-in ecommerce script. All data entry is done through a main interface to avoid doubling entries. VIST also may be configured to work with a third-party shopping cart. The shopping cart feature allows customers to check shipping rates to anywhere in the world and view real-time shipping status.
  • Integrated with MPA3 — VIST is designed to completely integrate with MPA3, Mansion’s affiliate program software. This allows webmasters to collect traffic and referrer stats and credit the referring affiliate for the sale.
  • “We call VIST a shopping cart on steroids,” Wright told XBIZ. “Any online shopping site can use VIST to automate and run its entire store for them. With our CMS, 2257 module, shopping cart and affiliate program integration through MPA3, we’ve created a one-stop shop for production studios to bring their content online in an efficient way.”

Raging Stallion Studios worked with Mansion on the development of VIST. The company beta tested the software for months before the kinks were worked out. Raging Stallion is currently out of the beta program and is using the full version of VIST that Mansion has brought to the marketplace.

“VIST is the sum total of many individual parts that work together to create a great, efficient program,” Wright said.
