Peter Reynolds, formerly with VCA Pictures, and Mischa Allen have joined the Adam & Eve team to help run the West Coast division. North Carolina-based Adam & Eve employees Frank Gavin and Ryan Thomas have relocated to California to work in design and sales, respectively.
“We’ve always wanted a presence in Los Angeles,” Adam & Eve Vice President of New Business Bob Christian said. “With our headquarters in North Carolina, we've often felt a bit out of the industry loop with sales and production. Now we’re next door to Topco, which makes our Adam & Eve Signature Toy line.”
Christian will divide his time between L.A. and North Carolina, while Reynolds, Allen and Executive Producer Meredith Christopher will handle day-to-day sales, licensing and production out of the new office.
“Our production schedule has grown to 60-plus new features and more than 100 total releases a year, and we have seen huge changes within the industry over the past few years,” Christian said. “I feel confident the team will take Adam & Eve to the next level.”
Adam & Eve Franchising, the company’s retail division, has unveiled the signing of additional franchise agreements.
In addition to the 15 current Adam & Eve retail stores, the company has inked 10 additional franchise agreements to be added over the next five years.
Ozzie and Sondra Figueroa, who opened the first Adam & Eve franchise store in Auburn, Mass., area in October 2005, have signed an area development agreement to open two more stores in the next 2 ½ years. While exact locations have not yet been determined, the stores will be built in central/eastern Massachusetts.
Adam & Eve retail locations carry lingerie, club and party wear, accessories, novelties, games, DVDs and videos aimed at women and couples.
“We are excited about these new franchise agreements and look forward to providing even more adults with the positive shopping experience that is Adam & Eve,” Jason Hoke, general manager for Adam & Eve’s retail division, said.
Along with the Figueroas, Natale Frontino signed a franchise agreement for a store in Quincy, Mass. Frontino also has signed a long-term area development agreement for eight additional stores to be opened in the south Boston shores area over the next five years.
