XBIZ Founder Alec Helmy to Deliver XBIZ 360° Digital Media Keynote

LOS ANGELES — Underlining the importance of this year’s groundbreaking XBIZ 360° events series, XBIZ founder Alec Helmy, will deliver a solo keynote address for the first time in the company’s show history at the highly anticipated event, slated for Jan. 9-12 at the Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles.

The industry’s most prestigious six-event tour de force lends the spotlight to Helmy — publisher and digital pioneer — who has been on the forefront of the new information age for nearly two decades. As founder of XBIZ, ASACP.org and today’s premier trade events, executive summits, and awards show, Helmy’s vision of a new, synergistic blend of technology and information has created not only a leading news media organization, but also the go-to industry information source for mainstream media.

In his address, Helmy plans to map out a blueprint for the coming years as well as impart an abstract vision for the distant future. From current market trends to emerging technologies, Helmy plans to share his views as a front-line participant in every aspect of the adult industry arena.

“While many recognize Alec as the driving force behind XBIZ, his experience goes beyond publishing,” said XBIZ Senior Technology Editor Stephen Yagielowicz. “Combining nearly two decades of online business savvy in the online adult entertainment industry with a unique blend of natural creative and marketing skills, Alec’s achievements range from hands-on involvement with a wide variety of business models to the founding of ASACP and in recent years, serving in an advisory capacity as a board member of the Free Speech Coalition.”

“Against this backdrop, Alec’s long-term view of the industry’s evolution and grasp of the happenings across all market segments, provide him with the widest range of unique insights that attendees will draw value from,” Yagielowicz added. “Regardless of where you fit in the biz today, the takeaways will be significant.”

Don Parret, the executive director of publishing, called Helmy’s address a “must-not-miss event for anyone involved in the dynamic world of adult entertainment.”

“With incredible passion and energy, Alec has built XBIZ to become the top publisher of business news and information for the industry, covering digital media, adult films, pleasure products and retail, as well as a leading producer of cutting-edge trade events,” Parret said. “His story about how he built his brand, as well as his unique views on current and future trends, will make for a one-of-a-kind keynote address.”

Dan Miller, executive managing editor of XBIZ, echoed Parret’s sentiment.

“This address will be a tone-setter for the New Year as we move forward in what is undoubtedly the most challenging era in the history of the adult entertainment industry,” Miller remarked.

Comprised of an unprecedented series of six grand-slam events, XBIZ 360° will kick off the New Year in grand style at the luxurious Sofitel Hotel, where attendees will embark on a 360-degree journey into the heart of the industry to decode its future, ignite commerce and spotlight success on center stage at the most extravagant awards show in industry history, the 2013 XBIZ Awards.

XBIZ360.com contains links to detailed information on each event in the series, which consists of separate conferences covering digital media, adult film/content, pleasure products, adult retail and the 2013 XBIZ Awards.

Set to feature an elite group of industry icons, fearless trailblazers and creative visionaries, the XBIZ 360° lineup of A-list special guests will anchor the forward-thinking agenda, serving attendees tactical insight into the underlying dynamics and future direction of the industry.

XBIZ 360° is being designed to facilitate business between global markets, as attendees will descend upon L.A. from every corner of the world. The week also will feature numerous special events such as cocktail receptions and after-hours parties so attendees can unwind after a full day of doing business.
