Entice.TV Drops Membership Fees, Switches to Pay-Per-View

LAS VEGAS — Appealing to risk-averse consumers wary of paying costly membership fees for an unknown service, IPTV provider Entice.TV has switched from a membership fee business model to a pay-per-view format.

The elimination of membership fees means that users can try Entice.TV by setting up a free account and installing IPTV software. Once users setup their accounts, Entice.TV President Susan Keil believes that the PPV format will encourage them to try something new, risk free.

"People who try Entice.TV keep telling us how impressed they are with our awesome high-definition and DVD video quality," Keil said. "Now everyone who owns a PC and has a broadband connection will be able to experience the Entice.TV advantage."

Keil likens the Entice.TV product to having a cable PPV system with the full range of adult content users can find online.

Using a broadband connection and a standard computer video cable, Entice.TV consumers watch video fed through their high-speed connection to a TV. Rather than streaming the videos, Entice.TV partners with studios to offer DRM-protected “channels” on the Entice.TV network, which consumers can then download and watch at their leisure.

"Entice.TV is truly the best way to watch adult video today," Keil said. "We offer the accessibility of the Internet, the video quality of DVD and hi-def, plus the ease-of-use of TV, all at a great price."

While the company has switched to the PPV format, it still will offer a subscription-based video-on-demand service. Channels offered for VOD include Wicked Features, Legal Skin, Digital Sin Gonzo, Chubby Chasers and Stocking Secrets.

The company also offers a range of hi-def titles from various studios, including Wicked Pictures, Digital Sin, Sinsation Pictures, New Sensations and Oh Man! Studios.

To promote the format shift, Entice.TV will give all users a $5 credit toward their first purchase after setting up a free account.

The change in format will be effective June 23.
