GameLink Adds Gram Ponante’s Column

SAN FRANCISCO — In an effort to give its users a value-added shopping experience adult online retailer GameLink.com has tapped blogger Gram Ponante to write an exclusive column for the site’s editorial section, The Naked Truth.

The column, “Gram Ponante’s Porn Stash,” will run every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. According to Alison Bodenhemier, Ponante’s column will feature humor similar to that found on his blog, “Porn Valley Observed.”

“I don’t know how many consumers read his blog, but I think that he’s hilarious and I think that our users will agree,” Bodenhemier told XBIZ. “He’ll give them a behind-the-scenes look at porn, and that’s something that our users really want.”

Ponante, already a GameLink affiliate, is the only blogger employed by the site.

According to Bodenhemier, Ponante will be able to set his comedic crosshairs on any topic he likes, as long as his columns are funny and make sense.

“I’ve been a fan of Gram’s for more than a year,” Bodenhemier said. “When I thought about how we could better connect with our customers, Gram’s blog instantly came to mind. Gram’s unique humor made him a natural fit for The Naked Truth. We’re very pleased to have him on board.”

The Naked Truth offers GameLink customers a range of exclusive content, including interviews, reviews, guides and articles.

Bodenhemier sees the editorial content, including Gram’s blog, as a way to boost sales revenue.

“What goes on behind-the-scenes in porn is often as interesting as what makes it on film,” Bodenhemier said. “GameLink customers can now get a sneak peek at movies before they buy."

Ponante’s "Porn Valley Observed" blog appears on the XBIZ site.
