Tranny Strip to Celebrate Anniversary With Cirque de Tranny Strip

NEW YORK — Tranny Strip will be celebrating its first anniversary with a theme party, Cirque de Tranny Strip, this Friday at Evolve Lounge.

Promoter John Ed fondly recalled his journey this past year and how the idea for Tranny Strip came to him in a dream. "I woke up after and I actually thought I was at my own Tranny Strip party, " said John Ed. "I told all my friends about it and they encouraged me to go for it. My mother passed away recently and she is now my angel. I really believe she placed this dream upon me. I had such a strong drive in my heart to do this. I wanted a very different type of Tranny Party, but also bring the same elements I do with Party Productions NYC. You know, with performers, themes, decor, costumes. I wanted this party to be over the top and lots of fun."

Tranny Strip's upcoming anniversary is aptly titled "Cirque de Tranny Strip," an example Ed's flair for theatrics. The event will feature top Cirque performers based in the NYC area, transsexual icon Amanda Lepore, and special guest TS porn stars Morgan Bailey and Domino Presley. Guests will enjoy the music of DJ MK, two stages of entertainment, hors d'oeuvres by Lips NYC Restaurant, and an open bar courtesy of SVEDKA. In addition, there will be DVD giveaways from sponsor Grooby Productions and official Tranny Strip calendars and t-shirts courtesy of Tranny Strip.

Tranny Strip is held every Friday and Sunday at Evolve Lounge in New York City's Upper Eastside, located at 221 East 58th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenue and runs from 10 p.m.-4 a.m. For more information, visit TrannyStrip.com or call 646-553-2966.

Cover is $60 for VIP/Private Party Package, $35 for men, general admission, $20 for women, general admission. The VIP Party runs from 8 to 10 p.m. General admission tickets are allowed from 10 to 4 a.m.
