CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Exquisite Films has released a new image gallery to promote its upcoming spoof of the popular syndicated swords-and-sandals series "Xena: Warrior Princess."
Directed by Jordan Septo, "Xena: Warrior Princess XXX" finds Phoenix Marie stepping into Lucy Lawless' sandals to play the redeemed Destroyer of Nations. The parody also stars Lexi Belle as sexy sidekick Gabrielle and Rocco Reed as Hercules, son of Zeus.
"The challenge for this production was to live up to the original, and I think we've done it," Septo said. "Phoenix Marie practically channels the character and brings a sexuality that was only implied in the mainstream TV show."
The project, which wrapped in April, is Septo's much anticipated follow-up to Exquisite's chart-topper "Tomb Raider XXX."
"After the success of 'Tomb Raider XXX,' we couldn't wait for the next parody blockbuster from Jordan and his crew," Exquisite Films owner Jerry E. said. "Everybody here at Exquisite Films is gearing up for another great success."
"Xena: Warrior Princess XXX" is slated for September release. Chanel Preston, Nicole Aniston, Juelz Ventura, Randi Wright, Lee Stone, Tommy Gunn, Seth Gamble and Tommy Pistol round out the cast.
