Masque’s Study Reveals Link Between Gender, Sexual Behaviors

TAMPA, Fla. — Research conducted by Masque Sexual Flavors indicates that women are more likely than men to incorporate products into the bedroom that intensify their experiences.

“We found that 39 percent of all respondents said they have purchased intimacy enhancement products,” says Michael Guilfoyle, President and Chief Operating Officer of Masque. “In addition, Masque’s research showed that 60 percent of women in America experiment with new products or techniques regularly. When compared with the data from men surveyed, women are more adventurous in the bedroom when it comes to intimacy enhancement products.”

The research included an online survey of 800 men and women between the ages of 18 and 65. Carried out by an independent market research firm, the study explored the sexual behaviors of participants, with a focus on oral sex.

“We’ve found that gender ultimately plays a role in the way an individual behaves in the bedroom,” Guilfoyle said. “For example, the quantitative research indicated that women are less likely to say that they enjoy the taste of their partner during orgasm than their male counterparts. In addition, our qualitative research showed that men often consider certain sexual behaviors, like oral sex, as a sign of commitment from a woman. Women, on the other hand, thought sex was a greater indication of commitment.”

The study found that 61 percent of men and women surveyed identified themselves as sexually adventurous. Participants said they had active, healthy sex lives, with 80 percent noting that they engage in oral sex several times a month or more.

As seen in the pages of Redbook, Women’s Health and Cosmo, Masque Sexual Flavors is an oral sex strip that dissolves on the tongue, blocking the salts, proteins and bitter tastes sometimes associated with oral sex on a man and helping improve the overall experience for both partners, the company says.

Masque is available in watermelon, mango, strawberry and chocolate flavors. The oral sex strips can be purchased on the company’s website, YourMasque.com or on Amazon.com for $9.95 per pack. Each pack contains three individually-wrapped gel strips.

The company recently announced it is launching eight international websites to meet the growing demand for the intimacy enhancement product.
