“We’ve already done the Howard Stern Show,” Spallone told XBIZ. “They’ve agreed to promote it and film us from the set. I’ve even spoke with radio programs from Los Angeles, Maryland, Ireland and South Africa.”
Still, Spallone was low-key about “The Worlds Oldest Gangbang,” an idea he sold to Metro.
“This is a novelty; it’s more of a spoof than anything else,” Spallone said. “The Sopornos sold for one reason: the name. This film will sell because of the novelty. If you’re getting someone a gag gift for their 50th birthday, this is a great present.”
While Spallone doesn’t see a niche market for 50-plus gangbangs developing from this film, he does think that porn will have to push the novelty envelope to find profits in an industry that is becoming more competitive by the day.
“Maybe I’ll do 50 blind guys doing a gangbang next, or 50 virgins,” Spallone said. “I’ve turned some girls down already for another oldest gangbang because the idea is to do something new. That’s what works.”
The production, which will shoot later this month, stars Crystal Clear, a 19-year-old performer who Spallone met while filming “Lesbian Swirl Fest.”
When Spallone heard Clear say repeatedly that she wanted to be a star, he thought little of it. After all, according to him, there really aren’t stars anymore. But then Spallone, who directed “The World’s Largest Gangbang,” a film dedicated to large performers, decided that if Clear was really serious, the way to jumpstart her career was to be the focus of the latest marketing stunt.
Now all Spallone has to do is find the applicants. He’s looking for both men and women over 50, but he expects more men to show up.
“If I get 30 guys, I’ll be happy,” Spallone said.
To ensure a quality performance — Spallone has doubts that the applicants, one of whom is 68, will have the skills of younger porn stars — veterans such as Ron Jeremy, Dave Cummings and Bill Margold will be on hand to help.
