Dreamgirl International Implements New Logility Voyager Supply Chain Management Software

LOS ANGELES — Dreamgirl International’s signature packaged lingerie and hosiery line, Red Diamond Lingerie and Black Diamond Hosiery, is getting a 2012 inventory lift with Dreamgirl’s new capital investment in Logility Voyager Solutions — a supply chain and inventory optimization software program.

According to the company, the new proprietary software will use sales history to align future inventory to retailer demand, thus giving management better visibility when ordering quantities in specific styles, colors and sizes.

Logility Voyager serves as an “early warning system” to track new catalog styles by analyzing the initial sales data. The supply chain optimization system tracks the sales history of a product to aggressively pursue in-stock positions on carryovers that are in high demand while making suggestions to cut inventory on styles that are not moving as fast, the company says.

“Black Diamond Hosiery has developed into a top performer, right along with our signature Red Diamond packaged lingerie. By using the Logility Voyager system to monitor established sales history we can forecast our retailer demand allowing for better fulfillment rates for customers. This system also allows for greater visibility in assessing new styles suggested in-stock positions,” Dreamgirl CEO Christopher Scharff said. “Our goal is to give our customers the best quality product and service in the industry."

Red and Black Diamond — Dreamgirl’s evergreen lingerie and hosiery packaged program — has seen the addition of more colors of its bestselling styles. Dreamgirl added more garter dresses with attached stockings and body stockings to the merchandising as well as an increase in Plus styles offered.

The Black Diamond Collection consists of One Size Fits Most and One Size Fits Most Queen. Wholesale prices range from $1 to $7 for hosiery. The Red Diamond Collection consists of One Size Fits Most and One Size Fits Most Queen. They also include a matching thong or g-string and are available at competitive prices ($8 to $13 wholesale).
