Peekay, Inc. Donates to Planned Parenthood

AUBURN, Wash. — In honor of National Condom Week, Peekay, Inc. donated $3,000 to Planned Parenthood. Peekay's donation included five cents from every condom sold in its Lovers, A Touch of Romance, and ConRev stores during National Condom Week, and an additional contribution from its corporate headquarters.

The donation will be split equally between Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest and Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties, and will be used to help fund a variety of sexual health and educational services provided by the organizations.

"We've always felt that it important to give back to the communities that have supported our stores over the years," said Phyllis Heppenstall, Peekay's founder and chair of the board. "We have a great deal of admiration and respect for the amazing work that Planned Parenthood does for women and are happy to be able to be able to support their efforts."

"Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest thanks Peekay for its generous donation. It's gratifying to have partners in the business community who stand with Planned Parenthood to promote healthy sexuality," said Chris Charbonneau, CEO/president of PPGNW. "Planned Parenthood hearts Peekay!"

"We're grateful for Peekay's continued partnership and their shared goal of keeping our community safe and healthy," said Stephanie Kight, senior VP of community affairs at Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties. "Their donation will be used to continue providing the women, men, and young adults we serve with the tools and information they need to stay healthy and plan families when they're ready. Including us in this National Condom Week promotion is a fantastic reminder that prevention is the best medicine, and that condoms are an essential part of building healthy communities."

Last year Peekay donated over $2,000 to Planned Parenthood during National Condom Week.
