LOS ANGELES — Adult industry news media organization XBIZ has released its 2012 XBIZ Research Report surveying the attitudes, views and trends impacting the adult entertainment industry and featuring perspectives from top industry figures such as Larry Flynt, Steven Hirsch, John Stagliano, Allison Vivas and Peter Acworth, among others.

XBIZ polled adult entertainment industry executives and qualified stakeholders through its social network XBIZ.net over the course of the past year to gauge their views on hot-button issues impacting the industry.

With those polls, XBIZ further reached out to get specific attitudes and opinions from some of the business'  top industry decision-makers. The results are included in the report.

"Bona fide statistics on views of the adult entertainment industry are incredibly hard to come by," said Don Parret, XBIZ's executive director of publishing. "With those stats in hand, we asked the most influential and top decision-makers to give their take on those numbers and how their companies will respond."

"The viability of 3D porn, the new .XXX top-level domain, mandatory condom use and combating piracy were among the topics asked to our 6,000-plus qualified XBIZ.net members and individually queried respondents," said Dan Miller, managing editor of XBIZ.  "We also asked about overall current trends in the business, as well as the future of mobile viewing habits."

Miller said that the individually queried respondents had plenty to say about the hot-button topics used in the XBIZ.net polls.

"The list of individuals we asked to respond reads like a Who's Who of adult entertainment executives," he said.

Individual respondents to the 2012 XBIZ Research Report include LFP's Larry Flynt and Michael Klein, Vivid's Steven Hirsch, Evil Angel's John Stagliano, Pink Visual's Allison Vivas and Quentin Boyer, Kink.com's Peter Acworth, Free Speech Coalition's Diane Duke, Wasteland's Colin Rowntree, adult film actress Kayden Kross, Grooby Productions' Steven Gallon, Hot House Entertainment's Steven Scarborough, MojoHost's Brad Mitchell, CommerceGate's  Bjorn Skarlen, VCX's David Sutton, ASACP's Tim Henning, Private's Jason Tucker and GameLink's Jeff Dillon as well as noted industry attorneys Greg Piccionelli,  Marc Randazza and D. Gill Sperlein.

“We’re confident that our unique knowledge of the territory coupled with our ongoing engagement of key decision-makers have made this XBIZ Research Report a definitive statement about where the adult industry stands on several market-driving topics,” Miller said.
