258 Porn BitTorrent Defendants Targeted in Past Week

LOS ANGELES —  Porn BitTorrent lawsuits keep on mounting, holiday time or not.

In the past week, seven copyright infringement lawsuits filed in federal courts around the U.S. charge that 258 defendants poached and shared porn movies from Hard Drive Productions, Pacific Century International, Grooby Production and First Time Videos.

Hard Drive Productions filed two suits, one against 48 John Does and another against 52 for sharing movies like “Amateur Allure — Dylan.”

Pacific Century International also had two suits against 37 and 31 Does in each suit. Those defendants poached such videos as  “Amateur Creampies — Laney Boggs."

In addition, First Time Videos had two suits targeting 46 and 43 Does, while Grooby Productions aimed litigation at a sole defendant.

All of the suits seek to order ISPs to disclose user identities of the unnamed defendants and claim damages of $150,000 for each infringement.
