National A-1 Sells Kink.com, Signs Licensing Deal With CNE

PHILADELPHIA — Pay-per-view site operator National A-1 Internet has sold its Kink.com domain to CyberNetEntertainment and announced an exclusive two-year deal with the fetish content producer. CNE will now be known as Kink.com.

National A-1, which operates HotMovies.com, will add CNE content to its library. But what made the deal work was National’s decision to part with domain names Kink.com and Kinky.com.

According to James Seibert, National A-1’s director of business development, the agreement to sell the domains and sign a licensing agreement will pay dividends for both companies.

“We’ll each be able to focus on our core business,” Seibert said. “The domains really fit well for them [Kink.com]. We have a lot of domains, but we can’t develop them all. This allows Kink.com to get some prime real estate for their niche.”

At Kink.com, the feeling was mutual.

“I think we should have done this quite a while ago,” Tony Pirelli, head of operations for Kink.com, said. “We’ve never published our material on any site other than our own, but this works out great for us; we get the Kink.com domain, and we’re finally able to get our material [out there].”

This deal marks the first time that National has sold a domain name. But according to Seibert, the company views the decision to sell the domains for an undisclosed sum as “a major win.”

Kink.com’s titles are already starting to appear on Hotmovies.com. Kink.com is known for fetish themes that include UltimateSurrender.com, HogTied.com and MenInPainVOD.com, among others.
