ICM Registry Launches Buy.XXX Purchase Portal

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — ICM Registry, the registry of the new .XXX top-level domain (TLD), announced today the launch of Buy.xxx, a portal featuring links to all accredited registrars to make finding and buying .XXX domain names.

ICM said the portal is being promoted in a global media campaign over the next five weeks with emphasis in the U.S., the U.K. and Germany.

The campaign includes national TV commercials in the U.S., billboards, newspapers, digital media and various sporting events including the “Race of Champions” in Germany.

The Landrush Period, which is open exclusively to members of the adult Sponsored Community, closes on Nov. 25. ICM said in order to give all interested parties the best chance possible to secure valuable names during General Availability, which opens on Dec. 6, Registrars are now accepting pre-applications that will be processed on a first-come first-serve basis when General Availability officially launches.

“The pre-application process is like camping out for prime concert tickets while Buy.xxx is like a convenient box office,” said ICM CEO Stuart Lawley. “We are really looking forward to opening the doors to everyone on Dec. 6.”
