Wicked Scores More Than 40 XBIZ Awards Nominations

CANOGA PARK, Calif. — Wicked Pictures and the lines it distributes have received more than forty major accolades.

Already an XBIZ Editor’s Choice, director Sam Hain’s spectacular deep space thriller “Horizon” led the way for the company with twelve nominations.

The release was nominated for Feature Movie of the Year, Director of the Year (Individual Project), Acting Performance of the Year (for Jessica Drake) and Marketing Campaign of the Year (Individual Project).

“We would like to thank XBIZ for recognizing our company on so many different fronts,” said Steve Orenstein, Wicked Pictures president and owner.

“We continue to be proud of the efforts of our directors and stars. We had several 'firsts' this year that were acknowledged we are happy to see them enjoy continued success.”

Filmmaker Brad Armstrong’s hit satire “The Rocki Whore Picture Show: A Hardcore Parody” was honored scoring nine nominations including accolades for Parody of the Year, Director of the Year (Individual Project), Best Cinematography and Best Art Direction.

In other categories, writer-director-performer Stormy Daniels’ release “Girlfriend for Hire” was honored with an Acting Performance of the Year nomination (for Rocco Reed), while her first title for the new Wicked Passions line, “Heart Strings” received a nomination for Couples Themed Release of the Year.

Another Wicked Passions release, Brad Armstrong’s  “A Touch of Seduction” received nominations for both Couples Themed Release of the Year and All-Black Release of the Year.

Armstrong was also honored with a nomination for Director of the Year (Body of Work).  Writer-director-producer-host Jessica Drake’s informative sexual wellness series “Jessica Drake’s Guide to Wicked Sex” was honored with a Specialty Release of the Year nomination (for Jessica Drake’s Guide to Wicked Sex: Anal).

She also received nominations for Crossover Star of the Year, Porn Star Site of the Year and Female Performer of the Year.

Wicked Pictures was recognized with three major studio nominations — Studio of the Year, Feature Studio of the Year, and Studio Site of the Year.

Other lines distributed by the company, including Video Marc Dorcel, Abby Winters, and JoyBear Pictures, all received major nominations, with Dorcel receiving no less than six – including European Studio of the Year.

The 2012 XBIZ Awards show, presented by MyFreeCams.com, is scheduled to take place Jan. 10.
