Irish Airline Considering In-Flight Porn

DUBLIN — Irish budget airline Ryanair is planning on providing passengers with an in-flight smartphone app that could include a porn channel.

The airline’s app would work on all mobile devices offering personal access to adult programming along with in-flight movies and TV shows, gambling, games and all the usual flight information.

Ryanair chief Michael O’Leary told the U.K.'s The Sun, "I'm not talking about having it on screens on the back of seats for everyone to see. It would be on handheld devices. Hotels around the world have it, so why wouldn't we?"

The plan hinges on Ryanair securing a powerful in-air broadband provider and it could take at least a year to get off the ground, given the high costs.

Despite the buzz, a company spokesman said, "Nothing has been decided as yet."

One critic, Bob Atkinson, of Travelsupermarket said, "There may be a market for porn in hotels, but that's in the privacy of a room. Anyone could see it on a plane. It's wrong."
