LOS ANGELES — More than 200 porn BitTorrent defendants were named to six suits in the past seven days.
Gay studio Raw Films filed at federal court in Atlanta against 32 alleged to have downloaded its videos on BitTorrent networks. Others suits from Elegant Angel, targeting 35, and K-Beech Inc., which sued 20, also were filed in Georgia.
In Louisville, Ky., AF Holdings, which distributes the "Amateur Allure" series, sued 20, while Burning Angel sued 10 there.
And Third World Media filed against an undetermined "swarm" at U.S. District Court in Honolulu.
In all of the cases, plaintiffs have asked for the courts' permission to learn the identities of the John Doe defendants.
