PETA Plans to Launch .XXX Porn Website

NORFOLK, Va. — PETA has applied for a .XXX domain and is planning on launching an explicit porn site once its application is approved as an adult site by the ICM Registry, XBIZ has learned.

Lindsay Rajt, a spokesperson for PETA, or the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, told XBIZ that once the organization gets the green light to use the .XXX tLD after the “sunset period” in September it will launch its free adult site.

PETA’s porn site will include explicit images and the possibility of featuring well known porn stars and personalities.

“You know we’ve worked with Ron Jeremy, Sasha Grey and Jenna Jameson before, so there is that possibility that we’ll have them on board again as well as other big names,” Rajt said.

PETA hopes to have the site up and running this fall.

“You know we [PETA] don’t shy away from any controversy and we feel our racier actions will have more people sitting up and taking notice of our cause,” Rajt said. "We don't want people to forget."

The spokesperson said that the site’s graphic images and content will “shock some and leave lasting impression on viewers.” Rajt hinted, “There will even be some surprises.”

PETA will be producing its own content, according to the spokesperson.

When asked if PETA’s planning on also providing a mobile app, Rajt said it’s a possibility and will have more details in the near future.
