LOS ANGELES — Adult Source Media has finalized a deal with VCX to become the company's exclusive domestic and international DVD distributor.
VCX, known as "The Home of the Classics," has a rich history in adult entertainment. Its library is full of iconic films, including numerous all-time bestsellers. Among the nearly 500 classic titles owned by VCX are "Debbie Does Dallas" and "The Devil in Miss Jones."
David Sutton, the third generation owner of VCX, remarked, “We are thrilled to have Adult Source Media distribute the VCX catalog, which includes the Cal Vista Classics, Nu-Tech, Celluloid Addiction, Fat Dog, Collectors Video, Gold Team, and Johnny Wadd.
"ASM's sister companies have done a phenomenal job for us in the broadcast and VOD markets through their Sunrise Media and SoCal Licensing broadcast licensing divisions, and I’m confident we’ll see the same results joining ASM’s growing DVD distribution.”
Beginning July 1, Adult Source Media will take over all of VCX DVD sales from Dynasty Distribution.
Sutton continued, "We've had a very successful relationship with Jon Islas and Dynasty Distribution. Jon and I remain good friends and I truly thank him for all the great work he’s done.”
ASM president Wendy Crawford remarked, "VCX fits in perfectly with the ASM family of quality niche product. We are happy to add a studio of this stature to our DVD distribution network. ASM now can offer distributors, retailers and e-tailers throughout the world even more, top-notch niche content in the animation, lesbian, parody, comedy, gay and classic genres."
Adult Source Media's roster of studios now includes AnimErotica, Nightingale Pictures, Goodnight Media, VCX and Sparta Video.
