Baseball Meets Gay Porn

CLEVELAND - Kazuhito Tadano, a Japanese baseball rookie who recently signed with the Cleveland Indians minor league, has had some major explaining to do to his minor league baseball teammates.

The young pitcher was signed by the Indians last March for a mere $67,000 yearly salary and has come under close scrutiny for a less-than-perfect past in the porn industry.

Responding to a rumor that began circulating when Tadano signed last year, the young sportsman read a statement today at Jacobs Field to the press and his fellow players explaining how a life of gay porn paved the way to the minor leagues.

This is reportedly not the first time the 23-year-old has had to spill the beans about his past. Tadano went through a similar process in front of teammates in Kinston and then later in Akron before being signed by the Indians.

Tadano gave up his baseball career in Japan after being shunned for his porn past when a magazine published still photos of his cinematic debut.

Since coming to the U.S., Tadano has experienced rapid success as a minor leaguer, despite the "scandal" he has had to face every step of the way.

Tadano attributes his dalliance in gay porn three years ago to needing extra cash during his sophomore year at Rikkyo University where he was honing his skills as a baseball player.

"I did participate in the video and I regret it very much," Tadano said in his statement. "It was a one-time incident that showed bad judgment and will never be repeated."

Tadano insists that he is not gay and only engaged in gay porn because of financial hardship.

Tadano went on to say that he was young at the time and that he and his 'teammates' needed money.

"Frankly, if I were more mature and had really thought about the implications of what I did, it never would have happened," he said.

According to reports, the pitcher will begin spring training in the coming months and his outlook for making it into the clubhouse is said to be good, despite the inherently conservative nature of major league baseball.
