SAN FRANCISCO — NakedSword took home a Grabby Award for Best VOD site, and to celebrate, will hold a “Golden Gate: Season 2” DVD release party tonight in Los Angeles.
The Grabby award marks the first time an award has been given to a VOD company at the ceremony. NakedSword’s win makes it three for three in 2011, having won back-to-back honors in February at the Cybersocket and XBIZ Awards, where the it took home Best VOD Company and VOD Company of the Year.
“Each time we’re honored with an award, it motivates us to keep working harder and to keep exceeding our customers’ and our peers’ expectations,” NakedSword CEO Tim Valenti said.
“We’re so lucky to be rewarded for doing what we love here, and it only inspires us to deliver an even better product.”
While NakedSword celebrated its win in Chicago over the weekend, the party continues tonight in Los Angeles, where a “Golden Gate: Season 2” DVD release party will unfold at MJ’s Bar in Silverlake.
Stars from the original production, including Jesse Santana and Grabby winner for Best Newcomer Riley Price, will be joined by hostess Morgan McMichaels of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” to give away signed copies of the NakedSword series, which is available now.
MJ’s Bar is located at 2810 Hyperion Avenue in Los Angeles.
