Bravo TV Wants Porn 'Housewives' Website to Shut Down

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Bravo TV wants to shut down live cam website  RealHousewivesofScottsdale.com.

According to TMZ, Bravo said the site is infringing on its "Real Housewives” trademark and sullying the TV show’s good name by using porn talent to promote itself.

Bravo fired off a threatening letter dated May 23 to the site’s owners.

Although Bravo has a legitimate claim to the “Housewives”  brand, LaLate reports that there is no Real Housewives of Scottsdale series currently being produced by the network.

The site’s owner, Terry Mamula however, told XBIZ that he is not the only adult site using the "housewives" name, pointing to RealHousewivesofNewJersey.com and RealHousewivesofAtlanta.com.

Although he is possession of the original letter from NBC Universal insisting that he stop using the name and that it has registered or filed registration for "THE REAL HOUSEWIVES," Mamula claims the network has no registered trademark.

"I'm being targeted because it is an adult site. Someone at NBC didn't do their job to secure this URL, now they're trying to bully me," Mamula said.

Mamula also said he’s not shutting down anything and he’s "absolutely" willing to fight the claims in court if necessary.
