LOS ANGELES — Axel Braun Productions will release "Scream XXX: A Porn Parody" on DVD and online April 18.
The film will be distributed exclusively by Vivid Entertainment and appear on Vivid.com
Braun has tapped Eli Cross to direct the parody of the classic 1996 horror film that will see its fourth installment in theaters on April 15.
The plot of the “art imitating [porn] life" spoof centers around a major adult film company that’s producing a parody of the classic horror movie “Scream” when one-by-one, the cast and crew are being picked off by a slasher with a grudge.
"We have created a movie-within-a-movie that riffs on the entire porn parody craze in the same way that 'Scream' deconstructed horror films," Braun said.
He added, "Movie fans will not only love the layers of detail the spoof offers but the sex that fills the script. Eli has put together a clever, sexy movie with hot girls, uproarious fun and plenty of thrills — an excellent recipe for great entertainment."
