Pink Visual's Allison Vivas Recognized by Global Forum

NEW YORK — Pink Visual President Allison Vivas was recognized this week by BigThink.com, a global forum that connects people, ideas and experts in a variety of fields.

Vivas was recognized as part of the site’s Women and Power blog section where ten top women in male-dominated fields were profiled.

“I always feel a little awkward about being recognized for individual accomplishments, so while I’m honored that BigThink.com included me on the list, the attention that comes from it is a mixed blessing," Vivas told XBIZ.

"I prefer to focus on the success of Pink Visual as a brand, and on our company’s collective achievements, because we are truly a team here, and our success doesn’t hinge on the contributions of any single individual. Having said that, being honored alongside the nine particular women BigThink put on the list is very flattering, obviously.”

Her profile said that Vivas doesn’t look like “your average pornographer. But we chose Vivas for her outspoken defense of pornography as a feminist.”

The profile also linked to an article Vivas wrote for the Daily Princetonian where she discussed her views on women in the porn industry.
