SexToys.com Holding Toys for Ta Tas Fundraiser

PHILADELPHIA — Online retailer SexToys.com is participating in Breast Cancer Awareness Month by donating $1 for each purchase during the month of October to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

As part of its Toys for Ta Tas campaign, SexToys.com also is dedicating space in its educational platforms to address prevention and detection of breast cancer.

“We’re known for our commitment to providing products for sexual health and well being,” said Bill Turner, director of content for Sextoys.com, “but we also want to demonstrate a commitment to help with a serious health issue that affects the lives of many of our customers — breast cancer.”

Susan G. Komen for the Cure was founded in 1982, and in its first 25 years, it gave $1.5 billion of funding to breast cancer research and prevention. Its efforts have a global reach, with programs worldwide. Susan G. Komen for the Cure has a 4 Star rating with Charity Navigator, and a goal to add another $1 billion to breast cancer research by 2017.

“This is a great opportunity for us to partner with our customers to help a cause that affects all of us,” Turner said. “And it’s a great opportunity for consumers to use their purchasing power for good as well. Our combined efforts will raise awareness about breast cancer prevention and detection, and help people who need the cure.”

Sextoys.com will begin counting the purchases on Oct. 1through Oct. 31.
