Sureflix Digital Launches Maleflixxx Mobile

TORONTO – Private Media Group’s VOD provider Sureflix Digital Distribution announced the launch of a new mobile platform today for the Maleflixxx network of gay VOD sites.

The new mobile platform – Maleflixxx Mobile – allows consumers to view content on the Maleflixxx platform, supports Android handsets, iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad.

The company said the platform automatically detects which device is being used and delivers the appropriate interface. The platform is accessible via the flagship site MaleflixxxTV and from Private’s gay content brand: Man-Size.

Sureflix said users can seamlessly transition between Maleflixxx Mobile and the Maleflixxx network with viewing credits, rentals, and bookmarks remaining the same between mobile and online.

The platform offers access to 44,000 scenes from more than 200 studios in high-speed connection video quality.

Users can browse content by category, theme and studio in seven languages.

Erik Schannen, CTO of Sureflix Digital Distribution said, “When developing the mobile product, we wanted to give our users the ability to take Maleflixxx on the road with them, keeping all of the features and content that they have come to love, but adapted to the mobile screen.”

He added, “Now Maleflixxx users can easily access their account, balance, bookmarks and rentals on their mobile devices, wherever there is a connection.”

Maleflixxx also announced plans to offer white label mobile versions to its major partners in the coming weeks.

Similar to white label PC/Mac versions of Maleflixxx.tv, Maleflixxx Mobile will provide its partners with complete control over the look and feel of their mobile sites.

The company said partners can view a white label mobile example by using a hand held device and visiting the mobile version of MANHUNTOnDemand.

Webmasters who refer traffic to Maleflixxx.tv can capitalize on Maleflixxx Mobile as another source of revenue. Maleflixxx Mobile automatically recognizes the device the consumer is using and traffic is tracked just as it is for Maleflixxx.tv, providing affiliates with their commission.

Eric Johnson, president and CEO of Sureflix Digital Distribution said, “We wanted to launch a solid platform right out of the gate that would support all major products, especially the iPad. Our research and development team has spent a great deal of time ensuring Maleflixxx Mobile meets the needs of not only the end user, but also the affiliate.”

The new mobile platform is the second mobile platform launched by Private Media Group this year. A mobile version of the company’s VOD site Gamelink launched in April.
