PIMPROLL Develops Active-Sync Video Streaming Technology

LOS ANGELES — PIMPROLL has developed new patented active-sync technology for video streaming.

The company says the technology actively checks user bandwidth. As the movie plays, it adjusts the video quality during the stream.

PIMPROLL paysite members can enjoy crisp, optimized videos displayed to the maximum capability of their bandwidth connection from start to finish, according to the company.

"Having a high or low setting on a streaming video player doesn't really offer much value for consumers because their bandwidth can change from moment to moment," said David K of PIMPROLL.

"A customer who selects high [quality] may get great quality at the start of a show and then see stuttering later on,” he said. “Or one who selects low may actually have their bandwidth improve during the course of a show but not see the improved clarity due to a self-imposed restriction on quality.

“Our new active-sync technology monitors the available bandwidth of each member connection and displays the content at the best possible quality level suitable for their connection at each and every moment. That is a huge improvement compared to what many customers are used to seeing on other sites."

PIMPROLL has had active-sync in development for nearly a year and has been testing it as part of a fine-tuning process during the past three months.

Now, the company says, the technology is fully tested and deployed on all PIMPROLL websites including Porn.com, Tranny.com and many others.

"To the average porn buyer the methods we use to achieve these improvements won't need to be explained," David K said.

"All they will see is noticeably clearer, sharper and smoother streaming videos that offer a level of continuous quality beyond anything they have come to expect from video sites in mainstream or adult previously. Put simply, when you are selling a video experience online, having the best streaming video quality is a very important part of the conversion and retention business."
