Players Ball Rocks the XBIZ Summer Forum

LAS VEGAS -- Some think Vegas may be too hot, but attendees at this year’s XBIZ Summer Forum said “bring the heat” as hip-hop star Too Short ignited the crowd once again at this year’s Players Ball.

The tradition continued in a special V.I.P room at the swanky 70,000 square foot Sapphire Gentleman’s Club.

Against the backdrop of Host D-Money’s vintage video documentary “D-Money and Some Pimp Friends,” the host treated guests to go-go dancers, backstage karaoke, strippers, adult stars Ashley Fires, web babe Trisha Uptown and Money’s newest creation – the “Playettes.”

The Playettes feature allowed Money to showcases porn stars, cam girls, models or any hottie who wanted to jump on stage and grab the spotlight.

“These girls can get into big-time promotion when they become a Playette. Tonight we had Sunny Lane and her crew, Trisha Uptown and solo-model Wild Natalie. We got to promote them on the Players Ball website and the XBIZ attendees got to see some fine looking ladies,’ Money said.

Money told XBIZ that this year’s soiree attracted nearly 80 percent of the Forum’s total attendance – an outstanding number for any of his events.

Webmasters were treated to limo transportation and a special Pink TV party bus that shuttled groups from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to Sapphire’s.

Legendary artist Too Short was back after a three-year hiatus from the Ball and Money said he was glad to have him back. “This year goes in the books as a classic thanks to Too Short,” Money said.

As in years past, Too Short got the floor to bounce the second he hit the stage. Nearly every adult star and wannabee jockeyed for position to shake their stuff.

Main sponsor CECash’s Adam said his company is a long-standing supporter of the Player’s Ball and as usual was thrilled with Too Short’s performance and the way he got the girls to lose their inhibitions.

Guests were also treated to a surprise performance by up and coming hip-hop group, "Truth 122" that added another level of excitement to the rockin’ show.

Money MC'd the show in his usual "pimp" style but didn't neglect to thank the other show supporters that included GotWebHost, Webair, MyFreeCams and OC Cash.

The online world also rubbed elbows with a number or porn notables in town for today’s XFANZ Expo who showed at the Ball including Ron Jeremy, Rayveness, Metro Babes Jessica Bangkok and Naomi Banks and adult director Erica Mclean.

Long time Player’s Ball figure Kevin Blatt told XBIZ that this year’s event was special with the return of Too Short. “He’s a close friend and now an honorary ‘Player’ for life thanks to the XBIZ Forum,” Blatt said.

But the Player’s Ball didn’t end with the rising sun. Another poolside Players Ball with Too Short is scheduled for the XFANZ show today at 1 p.m. poolside at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

According to Money this marked the third back-to-back Player’s Ball he’s promoted for XBIZ events and they keep getting better and better.
