LOS ANGELES — Director Axel Braun said today that his trailer for Vivid Entertainment’s "Batman XXX: A Porn Parody" chalked up 150,000 visitors within the first 24 hours of it posting on YouTube.
"I knew this project would trigger a certain amount of interest, but the reaction has far exceeded my expectations,” said Braun.
He added, "I guess comic fans are happy to see a different, sexy side to their favorite characters".
The trailer offers glimpses of adult stars Tori Black as Catwoman, Lexi Belle as Batgirl, and Dale DaBone and James Deen as Batman and Robin, as well as Randy Spears and Evan Stone as The Joker and The Riddler.
Braun said that the trailer has also attracted attention of dozens of mainstream outlets including New York Magazine and Ain't It Cool News, generating enthusiastic reviews and confirming the heightened anticipation for Braun's parody of the campy ‘60's show.
"I think fans of the original series responded so positively because my attention to detail shows how respectful I am of the source material," Braun said.
The director added, "The adult marketplace is starting to see more and more porn parodies being produced, so I just decided to raise the bar a little, and this was an ideal vehicle to do so."
"Batman XXX: A Porn Parody" will be available on DVD May 24 and can be pre-ordered at ShopVivid.
